The whole world talks about dead beat fathers, that don't pay child support, but there are just as many dead beat mothers.
A friend of mine, male, late 20's is raising his two young children, the mother choosing not to be a part of their life's or to see them because she has a brand new baby of her own and no time for them. Yes there are two sides to every story.
He is a single father, that works hard and the children that are 5 and 3. Raising a family is hard enough on two people let alone one…
But who is actually at a loss, that is her, she is missing the best part of their young lives, and before she knows it, they will be grown and or teenagers. And they will resist a relationship with their Mother or Father, who ever has been absent from their lives.
In time she or he will regret it, time after time, and it won't get better, tearful night, sleepless nights, and lonely Holidays will bring the picture clearer, when they choose to spend time with the parent that didn't leave them, and the parent that has been there for them…
Broken promises stick deep in the soul of a child or children, no matter how many I am sorry you try to give, they only remember we didn't, that never go away and they carry them with them for life.
Mending broken hearts and souls really never ever heal… Again words become worthless, without meaning, when tossed around without keeping the promises that we offer to children.
In this world of life and death, when they don't see or aren't heard from in awhile, they often wonder if you're dead or alive. Not seeing them or spending time with them to be a positive part of their young lives, make you a negative influence.
Children are out future, they need a Dad and A Mom, to support them on their travels thru life.
The Death, the actual death of one of the parents, steps up your parenting…and now you have to work double time…
Another thing to remember is never talk bad about your ex-mate never put them down. It is important for your children or child to grow up stable.
Whether you're the father or mother, be there, actually be there, keep your promises, and support them.
