Finally I have the Puppy’s name…Maybe or maybe not…
So, has anyone been on the edge of their seat wondering what I named the puppy? Maybe or Maybe not…
I read all the suggestions. Living with this darling little puppy, he cuddled, his way right into my heart.
After giving a great deal of thought to my new baby’s name, his name didn’t come as easy as the rest of my pet family members did.
Like Shecarra, Miss Beazley, Buzzard, Jellybean, and my Gather Family helped me name Jake when he arrived here a few years ago. And my Boston Terrier Tommy basically came with his registered name of Saint Thomas Lavone, and I shortened it to Tommy.
Here are some of the reasons that I didn’t pick some of the names, that you posted even though I liked them very much. And I tried each on for size. Actually I loved all the names and the reasoning for your picking them.
Lucky was a name of a ferret I had, he was called Lucky because my father found him in a college dorm, while laying carpet on a contract, this is where College students had left him, he was close to death. So he was named Lucky, he was lucky to live with us until his death in 2006. And the Name Lucky will forever be in my heart for that reason.
The name Whiskers was a childhood pet, which had an untimely death by being left in a hot car. His death was deeply painful for me, and his grave is in my mother and fathers back yard. So the name Whiskers brought back good and bad memories.
In my life, lots of wonderful pet friends have spent time with me, I liked Butch and Barney…Gave them some thought. Chester was my dear uncle’s name that has passed did like it and gave it thought too. Adorable took hold but then I didn’t think it was really a boy dog’s name. Precious was kind of girly too, and I liked it too. And Spike I liked because of his hair, it was a boy dog name, left it in the pool. The name Freckles was a really cute name too…left it in the pool…
Bandit was really good and the reason for picking it even better, he did steal my heart. Scamp was cute, liked it too. Chance was nice as well. Mohican shorten to Mo was cute too. I really like Casper like Casper the ghost. And she added it again to just remind me. Then the string of names Frankie, Eddie, Winston, and Prince, really liked all of those.
Then I suggested Bare after Bobby Bare my favorite Country Singer, or Slick, don’t know why Slick, but neither went over well.
Then a few more suggestions, of names crossed the internet highway Buster, Lucky again and Chance.
Then someone suggested to get to know him, and told me maybe his personality will clue me in.
Last night I was watching on PBS a story about autism, and a child was really drawn to the story Charles Dickens Scrooge. And the only words this child wanted to say was Tiny Tim, Tiny Tim, and the puppy lifted his head and looked around. Then I called him Tiny Tim and he wagged his tail.
So this is a shout out for all my Gather friends that gave all these wonderful names for me to try on for size. And also thanks for taking the time to read and comment on my post, and check out the pictures, it did my heart good. And also hope you also approve of Tiny Tim’s name…
He has been to the Vet, he seems to think he will not be very big, but you can never really tell. He also told me that he also believes he is Boston terrier, Crested Chinese, and a poodle mix. So let’s watch him grow up and see what he becomes…
