One of the most seductive forces at work in most people’s life is denial…
What is denial? It is a lie we tell ourselves, that barrier of protection that whispers to you, “not there, not now, not me!” So we try to keep ourselves in the dark.
Meanwhile the problem gets worse the more we feed our denial. For example you can’t afford the luxury of defensiveness, and you can’t afford the luxury of lies and denial.
What denial actually does to you it kills your dreams, it kills hope, and it kills what might have been a real chance. But you can overcome this problem or denial.
Most people who deal with denial have a pattern of failure.
Remember things that caused you to step down, or back instead of forward. Facing the truth, you will find a clear path away from denial.
When was the last time you looked in the mirror and liked the face staring back at you?
Write down your denials, for example why it is so hard to face myself in the mirror, people tell me I am pretty but I just don’t see it. Why do I keep dating or attracting creeps, oh it is because I am not good enough to date normal men.
After you honestly face the truth and nothing but the truth, this will turn your life around. Believe it when someone tells you that you’re pretty; don’t go out with the creep just because he asked you. Facing the truth will turn your pain into hope and your darkness into light.
Your denial is denying you a way to success. Remember when you choose to lie to yourself, you deny yourself a life worth living.
